History
AusTerrain has its roots dating back to 2013 when it was first established under the name 'Tough Tinnies', initially specialising in aluminium boat modifications and console units. As experts in metal fabrication, the company quickly evolved. Australian-made aluminium trays and canopies gained prominence and became our primary focus, leading to the addition of ‘Terrain’ to our business name.
During the transformative period spanning 2022 to 2023, a defining chapter unfolded in our journey. It was during this timeframe that we made a significant leap forward, embracing a new identity as ‘AusTerrain.’ This pivotal shift not only symbolised our growth but also marked our entry into the exciting realm of 4x4 trucks.
As a very small-scale, family-owned and operated business, we remain dedicated to ensuring the quality of our products is never compromised. Our founder, Josh Bowell, is the visionary guiding our journey. With extensive experience as a skilled metal fabricator, Josh is the driving force behind our pursuit of innovation and excellence. Under his leadership, our dedicated small team shares his passion for crafting top-quality solutions. Adaptability is our strength, enabling us to navigate and respond swiftly to shifting market dynamics.
